IKEA Indonesia Soft Toys Drawing Competition Terms & Conditions Organisers 1. IKEA Indonesia in cooperation with IKEA of Sweden AB is hereafter referred to as IKEA. Theme 2. Participants will be asked to make a drawing of their dream soft toy. Competitions 3. The competition will be carried out in 2 stages: 4. Indonesia Competition to be held at IKEA Alam Sutera during Nov 8 to November 22, 2015 5. Global Competition to be held in Sweden during December 2015 to January 2016 6. A short list of 20 drawings ( regional level finalists ) from Indonesia Competition will enter the Global competition directly. Conditions of Entry 7. Enrollment forms and IKEA drawing papers are available at IKEA Alam Sutera and can be downloaded at IKEA website 8. This competition is open to children between the ages of 4-12 years old. IKEA Employees and their immediate families are excluded from the competition. 9. Proof of age is required and participants must verify their age through showing of their birth certificate. 10. In order to collect the IKEA drawing paper and drawing tools, a parent or guardian of the participant must submit their ID to the designated IKEA coworker. This ID will be returned once the participant returns the completed IKEA drawing paper and drawing tools back to the co-worker. 11. IKEA reserves the right at any time to require any participant that enters the prize draw to provide proof of identity and / or eligibility to enter the prize draw. If the participant is required to provide such evidence and fails to do so IKEA at its sole discretion may disqualify the participant from the competition. 12. No purchase is necessary in order to participate in the competition. 13. All entries must be submitted at IKEA Alam Sutera to the designated Soft Toy Drawing activity areas located in the IKEA Alam Sutera Activity Area or in the Children s IKEA area. 14. All those intending to participate in the competition must have the consent of their parent or guardian to do so. Parental / guardian supervision is also required on the day of participating relevant activities. 15. Each participant can submit one drawing only into the competition. Each child participant cannot be assisted by parents, guardians or any third parties. Any such entries will be disqualified. Late or incomplete entries will also be disqualified. 16. All entries must be completed on the same day as the IKEA drawing papers are collected and must be completed in the designated activity areas located at IKEA Alam Sutera. Participants are not allowed to bring their drawing papers home, or submit the form on any other day after receipt. 17. Each work should have only one author, collective works will not be accepted. 18. Each participant must complete the designated enrollment form and use the provided IKEA drawing paper (A4 size 297 x 210mm) and IKEA drawing tools. 19. Drawing should be in 2 dimensional form and drawing techniques are free.
20. All competition entries must be the original work of the participant. All the work submitted must not have been published or exhibited before. 21. Work submitted, prize-winning or not, will not return to author. By submitting the competition entry, the participant is providing consent to IKEA Indonesia to own the use of the drawing and use it for any future internal or external communication. Submission of Entry 22. Completed enrollment forms and drawings should be submitted to relevant parties at IKEA Alam Sutera on or before November 22, 2015. Announcement of Result 23. Official results will be announced on the IKEA website at and official Facebook Fan Page. a. Indonesia Competition on December 9, 2015 b. Global Competition in January 2016 The Top 20 competition entries (drawings) will be displayed at IKEA Alam Sutera, on the IKEA website at and on the official IKEA Indonesia Facebook Fan Page. 24. The shortlisted participants and international level winners will be notified by email or phone. General Terms and Conditions 25. By entering this competition and providing personal information to us, all participants and their parent/guardian will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bounded by these terms and conditions, and consented to such personal information and drawings being used in the following ways without further consent, notification or compensation. 26. IKEA Indonesia/organiser reserves the right of final interpretation of any disputes arising from competition Terms and Conditions and results. IKEA Indonesia/organiser reserves the right to change the rules without prior notification. Your personal information and Intellectual Property Rights 27. IKEA and any IKEA franchisee would like to publish the name, age and competition entry (the drawing) of any one of the participants, on its website and via other media channels for advertising and publicity purposes. 28. IKEA would like to base new product designs on the competition entries (drawings) from the 10 international winners and manufacture a limited product offer from these designs with the purpose to sell in all IKEA franchisee stores and IKEA franchisee online shopping (commercial use). For each sold soft toy from this limited product offer, IKEA Foundation will donate 1 (One Euro) to charities, chosen exclusively by IKEA Foundation, that support children in need. 29. Information collected from participants and/or their parent/guardian will only be disclosed to third parties if they are the winner and then only to such third parties who need to know it in order to enable you to receive your prize, notwithstanding that such third parties may be located outside Indonesia. IKEA will also share this information with other companies within the IKEA Group of companies and other IKEA companies. Again, these companies may be based outside of Indonesia. 30. Consent to enter the competition is required from the participants parent/guardian. By permitting their child to enter this competition, each parent/guardian consents to IKEA processing the personal information of their child in accordance with the way that has been described in these terms and conditions.
31. All competition entries must be the original work of the participant. Any intellectual property rights including copyright and design rights in the drawings provided by participants, including in the winning entries and in toys made to the designs provided in the competition entries, shall belong to IKEA/organiser from the point at which the competition entries are provided to IKEA/organiser. 32. All competition entries, prize-winning or not, remain the property of IKEA/organiser which may use them for whatever purpose within its own activities. The grant of the above mentioned rights shall not entail an obligation to pay compensation to the participant. 33. The 10 participants whose drawings are purposed for commercial use will have no rights in the designs or to receive any remuneration, reward or other benefit as a result of the use of their design other than the prizes provided for in these terms and conditions. IKEA will not develop products based on any of the nonwinners in the competition. Under circumstances that any of the 10 designs are not possible to manufacture or commercialise, IKEA reserves the right to remove this product from the product offer to be commercialised and exchange it with a product based on another drawing from any of the entries. Liability and permissions 34. The promoter for this competition is IKEA Indonesia whose registered office is at Jl. Jalur Sutera Boulevard Kav. 45, Alam Sutera, Tangerang 15320. IKEA will not be liable for any loss arising from the postponement, cancellation, delay or changes to the prize beyond its control or for any act or default of any third party supplier. IKEA does not exclude or limit liability in any way for death or personal injury arising out of our negligence or fraud. 36. In order to enter this competition, participants (or their parent/guardian as appropriate) will be required to provide certain personal information including the name and age of the participant, a contact email address and phone number of their parent or guardian. IKEA will use each participant s personal details for the purposes of administering this competition and to contact participants who are short-listed and/or winners. IKEA will also share this information with other companies within the IKEA group of companies as part of the judging process. Prizes 37. There will be 10 international winners in total who will receive one soft toy each created by IKEA from their own drawings. Not all regional level winners will receive a soft toy from their own drawing. 38. All prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash or credit alternatives will be given in exchange for the whole or any part of the prizes. IKEA reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize or equivalent value in the event of circumstances outside of its control. 39. IKEA reserves the absolute right to select an alternative winner and award the prize to another participant in the event that IKEA has reasonable grounds for believing that that a participant has acted in a way which is inconsistent with these terms and conditions or has acted in a way which IKEA considers to be inappropriate, unlawful, or offensive. 40. For those who fail to reply or contact IKEA Indonesia on or before the deadline, he/she shall not be eligible to claim his/her prize in the future.
Competition Details for Indonesia Competition Judging for Indonesia Competition 41. Entries will be judged in two stages: a. The judging panel will select 40 finalists in the first stage of judging. b. In the second stage, a short list of 20 drawings ( regional level finalists ) will be put forward by Online Voting and the judging panel, and will enter the Global Competition directly. 42. Composition of total score a. Online voting will comprise 30% of total score. b. The judging result/decision of the judging panel will comprise 70% of total score. 43. (The judging panel consists of representatives from IKEA Indonesia Alam Sutera Store and Service Office.) Judging Criteria for Indonesia Competition 44. The judging panel will take into account the following factors in the selection of award winning pieces: Creativity Uniqueness Commercial potential Possibility to manufacture as soft toys The decision of the judging panel will be final. 45. IKEA will make the decision as to those who have won the competition. This decision is final and binding. Prizes for Indonesia Competition 46. All entries will receive a diploma given upon submission of the entry. 47. All regional level finalists will receive a trophy, and prize for each finalist. 48. All regional level finalists must participate in the prize presentation and relevant activities. Parental supervision is also required on the day of participating.
Competition Details for Global Competition Judging for Global Competition 49. The 20 drawings which form the regional level finalists of Indonesia will then be sent to IKEA of Sweden AB, drawings will be judged together with the overseas drawings, where a judging panel will pick 10 winning drawings internationally ( international level winner ). 50. The judging panel consists of children s product development specialists (Product Developer, Product Development Engineer, Product designer, Supply planner, Commercial team representative) at IKEA of Sweden AB. Judging Criteria for Global Competition 51. The judging panel will take into account the following factors in the selection of award winning pieces: News value Uniqueness Commercial potential Possibility to manufacture as soft toys IKEA will make the decision as to those who have won the competition. This decision is final and binding. Prize for Global Competition 52. All international level winners will receive one soft toy each created by IKEA from their own drawings.
