Upcoming Cyber Acquisition FY 16 NDAA tasked SECDEF to designate military department to acquire three critical cyber capabilities: Persistent Cyber Training Environment Cyber Situational Awareness and Battle Management Unified Platform 11

C3MS Program Description The Cyber Command and Control Mission System (C3MS) a system of systems used by the 624 Operations Center (OC) to gather Situational Awareness (SA) and conduct defensive and offensive cyber Command and Control (C2) functions Warfighter Benefits Provide operational cyber situational awareness C2 AF cyber forces in support of joint warfighter requirements C2 24 AF forces to produce, support or enable cyberspace effects Create cyber warfighting options for the Combatant Commander (CCDR) Plan, direct, coordinate, and control AF cyber forces and operations Enable air, space, land and maritime operations System Capability Produce, support, and enable cyberspace effects over the entire range of cyberspace operations (i.e., Defense, Exploitation, Operations, and Cyberspace Operational Risk Assessments). 12
