Applicatin This plicy applies t all rganizatins applying fr an Immigratin Grant. Definitins Applicant: An eligible rganizatin applying fr an I m m i g r a t i n Grant. Cuncil: Mnctn City Cuncil Immigratin Grant: One time funding prvided t a successful Applicant wh satisfies the criteria established under this Plicy. Plicy Statement All Immigratin Grant applicatins shall nly be cnsidered, and funding decisins made, in accrdance with this Plicy t ensure that funding is delivered in a cnsistent and equitable manner. Funding Categries The City f Mnctn Immigratin Grant is t assist with activities, prjects and prgrams t supprt the implementatin f the Greater Mnctn Immigratin Strategy. Mentrship fr highly skilled immigrants and internatinal students(2.e. in immigratin strategy) a) Immigratin Grant funding is subject t availability f funds and apprval by Cuncil n an annual basis. b) All Applicants must specify in their applicatin: i. the amunt f funding fr which they are applying; ii. hw the funding will be used; and identify all ther surces f apprved funding, including bth mnetary and in kind supprt iii. hw the Funding will help implement key bjectives frm the Greater Mnctn Immigratin Strategy as seen abve; iv. hw the funding will prvide a benefit t the cmmunity, r assist in the develpment f the newcmer/immigrant cmmunity; v. all ther surces f apprved funding, including bth mnetary and in-kind supprt; vi. any ther funding r in-kind supprt received frm the City f Mnctn; and vii. Applicants seeking funding in supprt f a specific prject must als specify the ttal prject budget fr the year. c) Organizatins are permitted t submit mre than ne applicatin. d) Funding allcatins shall be determined by the City f Mnctn n a case by case basis. Organizatins that have defaulted n past prject grants r that have received financial assistance frm the City and have utstanding final reprts r budgets Eligible Criteria Applicatins will be assessed based n the fllwing criteria: i. Innvatin; ii. ii. Ability f the Prject/prgram t advance the bjectives f the Greater Mnctn Immigratin Strategy and it s high pririty as seen abve; iii. iii. Ability f the Prject/prgram t achieve its stated utcmes; iv. iv. Benefits f the Prject/prgram n the target cmmunity, and the impact if the Prject/prgram was nt delivered by the applicant; v. v. Availability f matching funds r in kind supprt frm ther surces; and breadth f partners vi. and vi. Equal cnsideratin will als be given t the qualificatins, experience, rganizatinal ability and stability f the applicant t implement the initiative. Applicatin Prcess a) All Applicants must cmplete an Immigratin Grant Applicatin Frm, available nline at www.mnctn.ca, r in persn at the City Clerk s Office, City Hall, 655 Main Street, Mnctn. b) Incmplete r late applicatins may nt be cnsidered fr funding. Applicatins must be submitted either electrnically immigratin@mnctn.ca. c) Applicatins will be reviewed and assessed by a panel including City Staff and members f the cmmunity. A list f successful Applicants, including the amunt f funds cmmitted t each, will be made publically available fllwing apprval by City Cuncil. d) Successful Applicants will be ntified in writing f their grant amunt, as well as any cnditins that must be met by the Applicant in rder t receive the full amunt f funding ffered. Unsuccessful Applicants will als be ntified in writing. e) Cuncil shall have final authrity ver all funding decisins made under this Plicy. Chsing Successful Applicants The City f Mnctn will strive t prvide Immigratin Grants t Applicants whse services prvide the greatest benefit t citizens f Mnctn. As funding fr Immigratin Grants is limited, nt all Applicants may be successful. In determining an Applicant s verall benefit t the cmmunity, all Applicants will be scred ut f a pssible 30 pints based n the flwing criteria: Relevance (20 Pints): What key bjective in the Greater Mnctn Immigratin Strategy will this prject r prgram achieve? (Hw will this imprve the utcmes fr newcmers/ immigrants and internatinal students) Feasibility (10 Pints): Prject feasibility as well as demnstrated rganizatinal capacity and gd management practices including: Prgramming Finances Human resurces Histrical track recrd attendance Prgram develpment Cmmunity and business supprt Cultural diversity Diversified funding Partnerships 5

Cntributin Agreement Prir t receiving any funds, successful Applicants will be required t sign a Cntributin Agreement, specifying the terms and cnditins assciated with the Immigratin Grant, which may include any f the fllwing: Amunt f funding, and schedule fr distributin f funds, including any hldback cnditins; Final reprting requirements; Cnsequences fr misuse f funds r failing t meet ther cnditins; Requirements fr recgnitin f funding frm the City f Mnctn; Cnfirmatin f cst-sharing agreements, r funding/in-kind supprt frm ther surces; and Any ther terms and cnditins as required by Cuncil. Reprting Recipients must submit a final reprt within 45-days f cmpletin f the prject r 45-days f end f fiscal year fr perating grants. These Reprts shall include, at a minimum: Details n hw Immigratin Grant funding was spent; including attendance, utcmes, utputs, final budget, etc and hw it helped t implement the Greater Mnctn Immigratin Strategy; 6
A financial statements; Any significant changes in scpe r delivery f the Prject supprted by the Immigratin Grant incnsistent with the riginal request; and Any ther infrmatin requested by Cuncil. 7
