Congratulations! 61 Spring Inductees! Sigma Theta Tau Lambda Rho Chapter at- Large celebrated its annual Spring induction by welcoming its new members. The event was hosted by the University of North Florida at the Lazzara Center for the Performing Arts on April 9, 2007. President Joy McConnell challenged the new and current members to be "cocreators of change". She emphasized the importance of designing one's own membership experience that will take the nursing honor society into the next decade. The chapter inducted of 53 undergraduate students, 7 graduate students, and 1 community leader. All new members will receive an invitation to attend an orientation that will be held in September 2007. The 2007 Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida! Approximately 15 Lambda Rho Chapter at- Large members will be recognized at the Hyatt in Jacksonville on May 12 as the 2007 Great 100 The Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise nurse scholarship money, celebrate nursing to the community, and promote support for our profession in the region. Mary Gipson The Games People Play: Moving to a Learner-Centered Classroom This study will examine the effects of moving from a instructor-centered lecture-based method of instruction to a learner-centered classroom which utilizes gaming in the educational process. Exam grades and satisfaction levels will be compared.
