About Us CONNECT ENGAGE REPRESENT With over 1500+ members Representing more than 500 companies Leading Australia into Greater China was formed in 1987 to facilitate business development and networking opportunities for its Members and now represents the largest Australian business community outside Australia and the second largest international chamber in Hong Kong. This reflects the growing strength of Australian business in Greater China. represents the views and interests of Members to government departments and other organisations in Hong Kong, China and Australia. The Chamber is also an active member of the Support Australia Group (SAG) which exists under the auspices of the Australian Consulate General in Hong Kong; meets regularly on a bi monthly basis; and comprises eleven Hong Kong based Australian organisations. Over 130 events per year 10 industry focus committees Diverse Membership Members are senior representatives from the major Australian companies in Hong Kong, as well as a cross section of local and international businesses; and Australian executives in other companies. Members represent all the major industries banking, legal, accounting, IT and financial services, construction and infrastructure, hospitality, tourism, trading and manufacturing. The Chamber s mission is to promote and represent Australian business and values, while enabling members to connect, engage, and grow bilateral relationships. Hong Kong 2

Committees Young Executive Business Technology People Forum Construction, Property & Infrastruture Finance, Legal & Tax Women in Business Network Marketing & Media Sustainability Committee Small Business Network Macau Network Dynamic Opportunities The Chamber maintains an active volunteer committee structure which provides members with additional access to senior government and business decision makers, industry sharing and briefing events, the opportunity to shape the public voice of the Chamber on Australian business issues, and develop sectorspecific events and activities. Committee activities are generally restricted to members of that Committee. s dynamic committee system has more than 150 volunteers meeting monthly to arrange events and industry updates, as well as discussing relevant issues within their industry or business area. Over 15% of the total membership is actively involved in one of several committees. 3

Membership categories Platinum Patron (PP) Platinum Patron membership is our top tier category. This premium package of benefits is for companies who wish to increase their profile and add value to their membership by supporting the Chamber at the highest level. This high value package will include additional memberships, more profiling and a wide range of other benefits. Signature Member (SM) A higher level of corporate membership, includes additional memberships up to Twenty members and event sponsorship. Corporate Patron (CP) Corporate Patron Membership offers companies additional engagement at Austcham events. Six named members are nominated by the company as representatives. Corporate Member (CM) Corporate Membership is specifically for companies who have a registered office in Hong Kong. One named member is nominated by the company as a representative. Corporate Member Additional (CMA) Companies with Corporate memberships are able to enrol additional named members within their company. There is no limit to the number of additional members who can be added. Individual Member (IM) A personal membership with no company affiliation Young Executive (YE) This membership category is solely for young executives who are under 35 years old. A copy of their ID card must be submitted with the application as proof of age. Non Government Organisation (NGO) Non Profit Membership is available to non profit making and charitable organisations. Proof of non profit status is required upon application. *Subject to Discretion 4
