2nd Publication for Proposed Amendments to the By-Laws To delete from Sec III, Pg. 1, paragraph 1 of the By-Laws annually. VI. Election of Trustees To delete from Sec VI, Pg. 2, paragraph 1 of the By-Laws one year and replace with two years. To add to Sec VI, Pgs. 2 & 3, paragraph which states Election of Trustees shall be conducted each year in an alternating pattern as follows: For Chairperson, Secretary in even numbered years; for Vice Chair in odd numbered years. All officers will serve a period of two years from July 1 st through June 31 st. 1. The Chairperson shall appoint an Elections committee at the regular March Service Board meeting. This committee will be comprised of no less than three (3) Service Board Members. 2. The Elections Committee will accept nominations from Alcoholics Anonymous members for the offices of the Trustees at the regular April Service Board meeting. 3. The following qualifications must be must in order for a person to be nominated for an office of the Trustees: must have four years of continuous sobriety. 4. The nominations will be closed and announced at the April Service Board meeting and an official ballot will be included in the May Bulletin. 5. Each Service Board Representative of an Alcoholics Anonymous group is entitled to one vote for each Trustee. 6. The Trustees will be chosen by Third Legacy procedure, as found in the A.A. World Service Manual, at the regular June Service Board meeting. The results of the election will be announced by the Elections Committee at that meeting. 7. There will be no proxy voting. 8. The newly elected officers will take office at the July Service Board meeting. 9. A nominee for any Trustee position is not eligible if that person has already served in the same position for a full-term previously unless there are no nominees for that position.
