Past Issues Translate The Race is On... Fast and Furious The SGO Credits have returned... and the race is on! In fact, we can now call it the "Fast and Furious": As of July 19, over $3.1 million in credits have already been taken... that's about 25% of the total... and its still July! To help frame how quickly the credits are moving, let's compare this year to last year: Last year at this time $1.3 million in credits had been taken (and we thought that was quick!) Last year we were at 25% of the available credits in mid-august Last year we hit $3.1 million in early September What does this mean? While the credits were increased from $9.5 million to $12.5 million this fiscal year, the credits still may not last until December 31. This may seem like a silly section of our newsletter, but yes, every year donors forget to submit their SGO Tax Credit Certificate Number on their state tax forms. Perhaps they forgot to do it, misplaced their certificate number, whatever. No worries, we are here to help.
