Registration Registration for camp is currently up and running. Parents will need to go to ntscamp.com, click on events, click on South Carolina 2, find your church (New Life Church La Plata), and register your student. You must be the parent or legal guardian of the student or 18 years or older to complete the registration process. Make sure that your registration page has your church s name listed. To complete your registration process, you will need to either pay the $150.00 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit or pay the entire amount. You will need to use a credit card or debit card to pay. You will be sent a confirmation email stating that you have registered and the amount paid/owed for NTS Camp. The current rates for NTS are as listed below: Price Begins Ends Comments Registration $312.00 12/01/15 (12am) 05/08/16 (11:59pm Final payment must be paid in full by May 8th, 2016 or a $20 late fee will be added. Late Registration $332.00 05/09/16 (12am) 07/10/16 (11:59pm) Final payment must be paid in full by July 10 th, 2016 or a $20 late fee will be added. Last Minute Registration $352.00 07/11/16 (12am) 07/23/16 (6pm) Payment must be made in full or a $20 late fee will be added. We STRONGLY encourage you to take advantage of the lower price and register your student before May 8 th.
Transportation Transportation is provided from New Life Church (Main Campus in La Plata, MD) to Southern Wesleyan University and back in a coach bus. The transportation fees are not included in the above camp registration. The fee for transportation is $125 per person. The transportation fee is due before Sunday, July 10 th. To pay the transportation fee, visit http://nlcriot.org/nts and scroll down to Transportation. There you will find a link that will direct you to New Life Church s online payment system. Or you can pay by check to New Life Church include the students name in memo.
Medical Info Never The Same will be providing emergency medical staff should there be an injury or illness during our time at NTS Camp. They will not be providing staff to administer prescription medication. New Life Church will be providing a registered nurse to administer all medication to students. As a result, we require that every student have our Riot Student Ministry Medical Form/Liability Release completed before attending NTS. *These forms are in the back of this packet. This form will need to be submitted, as soon as possible. If there is any specific medical information that would be helpful to our medical staff, please feel free to contact us, or make a note on the form, and we can make special arrangements if necessary. Our medical staff will review all the Medical Forms for all students in the two weeks prior to attending NTS. The Medical Form is due before Monday, July 10 th, 2016.
What is our color this year?!?!? FAQ s - We re not sure yet The colors will be announced by NTS Camp sometime in May. - The Team Color is super important so make sure you have plenty of clothes that are in this color Do we make meal stops on the way to/from camp? - Yes, we will stop at a few preselected points on the way down to South Carolina and back. How much money should I bring? - Approximately $40 (meals for trip there and back) - There will be clothing available for purchase at camp ranging from $15-30 (optional) - Additional spending money for snacks during the week (there is a coffee/snack shop and campus store) What items should I bring? - Bible - Pen/Notebook - Sheets for a twin bed or a sleeping bag - Pillow - At least two pairs of shoes (one for team competitions and the other for the rest of the day) - 2 changes of (team color) clothing (per day) any shade of (team color) is fine - Toiletries - Towels - Swimsuit (girls tankini s must completely cover stomach) - Sunscreen - Camera (optional) What items should I NOT bring? - Alcohol - Weapons - Pornography - Video Game Systems - Tobacco Products - E-Cigarettes - Fireworks - Lighters - Illegal Drugs - Drug Paraphernalia - Silly string - Water Balloons - Shaving Cream (not intended for shaving) The list above is what NTS has made available to us. NTS has stated that CLOSED TOES SHOES (preferably ones that you don t mind getting dirty) and WATER BOTTLES for competitions are a MUST. Are meals provided during the week? All meals are provided. There are no snacks provided by NTS Camp in between meals. Students are allowed to bring snacks from home for dorm rooms or to take with them on the go. There is a camp store where students may purchase snacks with their own money.
FAQ s (continued) What s the dress code? - No spaghetti strap shirts/tanks or low cut shirts - Shorts/skirts must reach fingertips when arms are down at sides Can my child bring personal electronics? Students will be allowed to bring cell phones and other electronics. During the bus trip, they will be allowed to use them without restriction. Once we arrive to NTS Camp, they will be permitted to have their cell phone with them for the duration of the camp; however, we do ask that they be used minimally and quietly. There will be times during the week (i.e. mixes, small groups, team competitions, etc) when students will not be able to be reached. If your student does not have a cell phone and must make a call, their adult leader will have their personal cell phone on them at all times. If you must reach your student in the event of an emergency, please contact Pastor Logan Chambers (301.542.7947) or Pastor Robert Hilson (240.585.0405). They are the middle school and high school youth pastors for New Life La Plata. Riot Student Ministries and Never The Same Camp are not responsible if an item is lost or stolen. Please use discretion when sending personal electronics devices with your student. Are there scholarships available?
