Vocational Service Thought for the Day Andrew Edwards Education: Dickinson College, Carlisle PA. Double major in Drama and English. B.A. M.F.A. in Acting/Directing from the University of Portland. Experience: Stage director, actor, and performer in film, radio and television which is combined with several years experience in theatre and box office management. He has worked on more than 400 stage productions in theatres in New York, Pennsylvania, Maine, Washington and Oregon. Since joining Lakewood Theatre Company in 1977 as its first full-time manager, Mr. Edwards has been instrumental in the development of new and continuing programs, financial management, budget development, and overall coordination of Board, staff, and volunteer activities. In 1979 he was appointed Executive Director of Lakewood Center for the Arts. His expanded duties include overall responsibility for artistic programming, community events and finances for the Lakewood Center and its subsidiaries.

RYLA apps are due soon. One important Rotary goal is to help young people develop the leadership qualities and self-confidence they need to become the leaders our world needs. RYLA takes place every July and brings together dozens of young adults from every stage of life, from current college students to those just starting life after college and those with a family and solid career. Working together, participants learn from the world-class speakers and activities during the week, and explore and strengthen their ideas of leadership and community.
