Many thanks to so many for a terrific Great American Cleanup. Give yourselves a pat on the back... YOU DESERVE IT!!! KAT BRAY katkatbray@gmail.com Port Auction Update

This past Friday was the day that "Best and Final" offers for the Port of Port Royal were supposed to be submitted. We are anxiously awaiting the word tomorrow, Monday April 3rd, as to who the winning bidder was. As soon as we know more regarding the offer, we will send out an update. The winning Bidder will have until July 2 for due diligence, and closing is scheduled Aug. 1. Public Hearing on Wednesday

Council Workshop on Wednesday Council will hold their monthly Workshop in preparation for next week's Council meeting. The meeting will begin promptly after the Public Hearing at Town Hall, 700 Paris Ave. This might also be a good time to come and hear any additional information that may be available regarding the sale of the Port. As usual, questions by the public are encouraged and appreciated, so it is a good time to come and ask either the Town Manager, Council or Town Staff for answers to those questions.

Beware of Aligators Spring is here and that means we all should be careful around the many wetland areas here in Port Royal. Not only are there many nesting birds around but it is the time of year that the Alligators tend to be on the move and more active as it is their mating season. As such, please be careful as you approach near the edges of the many wetland areas around the Town. As a precaution, it is best to keep your distance from these areas. Also, please do not let children play next to the water and keep your pets leashed and away from the potential danger areas. As a reminder, it is against State law to feed the Alligators and as such this saying needs to be repeated. "A fed Gator is a dead Gator." State law prohibits the relocation of any Alligator and as such, nuisance Alligators are "Tagged". This is a pleasant way of saying... exterminated. The Town is allocated a number of tags for the purpose of removing Alligators that are a menace. These tend to be the ones that have been fed. Please use common sense and stay away from them along with not allowing anyone to feed them. They are an important part of our environment and we must respect all of the wildlife here in Port Royal.

Spring Street Music Line-up Announced This week, we received the musical line-up for the Spring Season of Street Music on Paris Ave. Looks like it's a great start and hope to see you there!
