The reasn fr its develpment was the dminatin f the quick fix slutins prevalent in the NHS fllwing the Francis Inquiry in 2013. As the authrs identified this barmeter was develped and validated as an instrument with which t gauge the different attributes f envirnments in which care [educatin] is delivered and s help understand the culture f care within rganisatins such as Trusts [Schl]. The elements which underpin the design f the tl reflect themes identified frm previus research as strngly linked with staff cmmitment, engagement and prductivity. The culture f care barmeter has been recgnised as adding value t existing tls t stimulate dialgue and reflectins n questins f culture and is perceived t be f particular value t the teams.
