This is a great fundraiser for both organizations. Rivertown Races is a family-friendly, fully supported and professionally timed race with ½ marathon, 10k, and 5k distances. Over 50 volunteers will make this event possible, and your hours can be turned in as parent commitment service hours. We need volunteers on April 26 th and 27 th. Volunteering to help at a race is a great way to give back to the community and support your friends and family that may be running. Experience the fun and excitement of a race without the anxiety! Parents / Guardians may re-enroll from April 15 to May 10, 2019. All current students that plan to return in the fall must be reenrolled by May 10, 2019. The annual update of family information will be done online through the TADS Educate school management system. This system will send a registration link to each current family in the coming weeks. Paper forms will also be available for families in the admissions office. Tuition will be set at the full tuition rate at enrollment. Families that wish to apply for tuition assistance or set up a payment plan must meet with Elizabeth Lopez elopez@tphgr.org (810 VanRaalte Dr SW). Documentation of household income must be provided to qualify for tuition assistance. Documentation items include: 2018 income tax records and all W2 forms (married couples / filing separately must provide both tax records). New this year: Current families that are not re-enrolled by May 10, 2019 will be fined $100. New student enrollment will begin late May. Please make sure that you have a completed application on file if you would like to enroll a child that is not currently attending The Potter s House.
3 Parent Service Commitment There are many ways to get connected at The Potter s House. Basically every volunteer job that you accomplish for the school will count toward your 25 service commitment hours, and your service will help you to get connected and cut operational costs for the school. Carrillo ccarrillo@tphgr.org GRASP The GRASP program is a nine-week correspondence summer program written by Grand Rapids Public Schools staff in math and reading. It is designed for children that will enter grades K-8 in the fall. Children in grades K-3 will receive a packet of materials for the nine weeks of summer and mail in a lesson every week. The lessons are scored, results recorded, and then returned to the children. GRASP online: Children in grades 4 th 8 th can choose to the packet of materials that are mailed in each week or they can sign up for to do their lessons online. Order forms are available at conferences this week. The cost of the program is $26 for one subject and $46 for both subjects. Order forms with payment (checks payable to Potter s House) are due in the office by May 6, 2019. El Programa GRASP El programa "GRASP" es un programa de verano por correspondencia que dura nueve semanas y está escrito por el personal de las escuelas públicas de Grand Rapids en las áreas de matemáticas y lecturas. A Around The House Empanada Trip Fundraiser PUMA SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS There are summer sport camp opportunities for volleyball, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, and baseball. All forms with payment (checks payable to head coach) should be turned in to the elementary or middle school offices. The Potter s House High School will be making and selling Empanadas to raise funds for class trips. The options are: Beef, Chicken, and Apple. Each kind will be wrapped in packages of 1-dozen and sold for $10 per dozen. Empanadas will be made and ready for pick-up on Saturday, May 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Orders will be taken until May 1, and payment must be made at the time of the order (checks made payable to The Potter s House High School or TPHHS).
