It s Serious Apollo High School reserves the right not to allow a senior to attend the ceremony and/or the all night party if the student has a serious infraction. Believe it or not, the graduation ceremony is a privilege something to be earned.
Hold the Hollering, Please The graduation ceremony is a wonderful experience for students, families and friends. Probably the most important and most memorable moment is when you see your graduate walk up to the stage and hear his or her name being called out for everyone to hear. Over the last few years, some families and friends get so caught up in the excitement that their verbal celebrating and demonstration interferes with the following graduate s name also being heard by all. The students of the graduating class of 2018 are asking that we all be respectful of everyone by holding our verbal and other demonstrations until the last name is read and heard by all. Everyone matters! Everyone counts!
You are special. You are beautiful. You can and will go on to do great things. Show it by your actions.
Beautiful (and Respectful) Actions Respectful: Arriving on time Disrespectful: Arriving late and holding everyone up Clapping after a name is announced Coming prepared with cap, gown, tassel, and proper clothing Putting your phones away or not bringing them. Hooting, hollering, and whistling so names cannot be heard or causing added wait time Coming unprepared and expecting others to wait Bringing phones and disrupting everyone with tones, flashes, music, and selfies.
