NEPTS Baseline Assessment A baseline assessment pro-forma was sent to all on the 19 th of April 2016 with a request for return by the 13 th of May. A reminder email was sent on the 1 st of June 2016 for outstanding baseline returns. A further reminder email was sent on the 21 st of August. To date, Aneurin Bevan health board baseline remains outstanding. An outline of the depth of responses received is provided below. (to note, each response has been formatted differently and so numbers of pages submitted may not reflect the depth of the response). An evaluation and audit of the responses received is required. Booking The CTU based in Glangwili General Hospital includes a team dedicated to the monitoring, administration and spot purchase of NEPT provision. This team provides a call centre function for NEPT requests generated by wards, patients in the community, local ambulance liaisons and the WAST contact centres when unable to facilitate transport requests. The team assesses patient transport need and undertakes a value for money assessment when determining the most suitable NEPT provider for each journey. This team is also responsible for the facilitation of patient repatriations both into and out of HDUHB. Providers WAST The main NEPT provider for the Health Board. Accommodates all mobility categories All Wales Ambulance Service St John Cymru Provides Dedicated Discharge Vehicles (DDVs) for Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Facilitates extra contractual transport requests as required on a spot purchase basis. Suitable for all mobility categories. Provides DDVs for Ceredigion. Page 3 of 6

This meeting was cancelled due to a number of apologies.
