BALDWIN STREET MIDDLE SCHOOL September 9, 2016 e-banner NEWSLETTER 3835 Baldwin Street Hudsonville, MI 49426 616.669.7750 Welcome back to school! Despite the heat and humidity, we have had a fantastic first week of school at BMS! We are blessed to have kind and polite students and a helpful and caring staff. We have witnessed numerous instances of students and staff going above and beyond to make someone's day. Sixth grade students and students new to BMS are familiarizing themselves with our building, and fitting right in. Our seventh and eighth-grade students are helping to make them feel welcomed. Next week Wednesday, our entire 8th grade class will travel to The Conference Grounds in Grand Haven, MI for our annual leadership camp. Students will engage in team building activities, develop a leadership theme for the school year, and listen to speakers who will challenge them to become influential leaders within our building. We look forward challenging our eighth-grade students and are excited to see how they demonstrate leadership throughout the school year. Thanks to Mrs. Van Zalen, guidance counselor for the many hours in organizing this event and making sure it runs smoothly each year. Our new safe and secure entrance is complete and fully operational. Visitors are asked to ring a doorbell at the main office entrance. One of our secretaries will then buzz you into the office where you can sign in to visit the school. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all become accustomed to the new procedures.
