It has been catering to the needs of the industry for the past twenty five years. The link of the institute with the industry has been cultivated all these years & the aspirants who wish to enter the area of corporate world & be on the helms in the twenty first century. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is established in the year 1999-2000 to cater growing needs of industry for Computer & IT professionals and is affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur.

P a g e 3 Departmental Activities Techsymposium 2K16 As a result of long hard efforts, by the students of CSE department under ACSES & support of teachers, TECHSYMPOSIUM 2K16, had come to its grand finale. Along with national level Programming Contest and Paper Presentation was organized. There was a great response of the students for these events from our Institute and outside the Institute. Prof. S.S.Darbastwar was the faculty coordinator for this whole activity. The grass is greener where you water it.. Robotics Contest for UG students from all the branches of Engineering & Technology was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering on 12 March 2016. This Robotics Contest comprises the events like, Auto Tracking Robot and Robot Exhibition. Prof. U.A.Nuli was the faculty coordinator for this whole activity. A l u m

V o l u m e 1 I s s u e 3 P a g e 4 Departmental Activities Internet of Things (IOT) Lab Inauguration IOT Lab was inaugurated on 8th August 2015 by Dr.Krishna Vedula, Executive Director, Indo US Collaborative for Engineering Education (IUCEE),Professor and Dean Emeritus, University of Massachusetts in the presence of Prof. Dr. P.V. Kadole. He paid a visit to all the departments and appreciated the facilities available to Students & Faculty members in various laboratories. E-yantra National Symposium Prof. Dr.D.V.Kodavade, Head of Computer Science & Engineering Department has worked as a member of panel in the Panel Discussions at E-yantra National Symposium held at IIT Bombay on 11th and 12th April 2016. He also presented various activities organized/ conducted in our institute on Robotics and the activities carried out under NMEICT Project of MHRD, New Delhi.

P a g e 5 Departmental Activities WORKSHOP on Big Data-Hadoop One day workshop on Big Data-Hadoop by Mr. Ganesh Bhosale, Pragma Information Systems, Pune was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering on 19th March 2016. Nothing is impossible in the world.. Association of Computer Science and Engineering Students ACSES was inaugurated on 25 August 2015 which was followed by the welcome of fresher's. This year also we organized parent meet on 30th Jan 2016. The alumni are the one of the most important stakeholders and the ambassadors of any Institute. Students expressed their feelings about the department and their experiences during four years. Head of Department Dr.D.V. Kodavade shared his views about Academics and Departmental Performance and also guided students for higher studies and their future. Industrial Visit Department has arranged industrial visit of TE CSE class on 28th & 29th FEB 2016. Students & Faculty of CSE Department visited Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) at Pune, well-known for a global leader in IT services, digital and business solutions that partners with its clients to simplify, strengthen and transform their businesses.
