CROSSING THE FINISH LINE IN STYLE! In the heart of beau ful downtown Kingston, the Village Green Community Center and Park offer a range of welcoming spaces available to reserve for your class or event, large or small: Banquet Hall (accommodates 200 guests) Mee ng Rooms Commercial Kitchen Picnic Pavilion Lobby/Gallery Technology Center Art Room Half-Gym Visit our website at myvillagegreen.org to browse our most up-to-date calendar, register for classes and events, view our facility rental rates and reserve a space. Ques ons about facili es? Call 360.297.1263 or email programs@myvillagegreen.org Wow! You fans of the Village Green certainly did it up right at our 2nd Annual Breakfast at the Green! Not only did we cross the finish line together (our goal for the day), but we did an extra lap or two. With the proceeds of the Great Give rolled into those from the breakfast, the capital campaign that built the new community center finished with a flourish: You gave $46,000 to make this happen. We met and exceeded the $20,000 community match. Thanks to your gifts, we ended the capital fundraising effort with a small cushion. In other words, if all of the pledges currently on the books are collected, we will have sufficient funds to retire all remaining indebtedness. The Foundation still has much work to do to thank donors, collect pledges, retire debt, host popular events like Pie in the Park, honor commitments to adult and senior programs at the Village Green. We will continue to look for ways to strengthen and connect community. Of course, there will be operating costs as we continue our work. Please know that, as always, if you are moved to donate to the Village Green Foundation, your gifts will be gratefully received, acknowledged and carefully stewarded. Thank you, friends! Capital Campaign Co-Chairs Michele Laboda, Bobbie Moore and Tomi Whalen Please help us celebrate the Village Green Community Center s 2nd Anniversary Tuesday, May 8 There will be cake! And balloons! 2

HAPPENING IN MAY AT THE KINGSTON LIBRARY Introducing the Kingston KRL s New Branch Manager, Leigh Ann Winterowd A passion for life-long learning and a commitment to customer service drew Leigh Ann to libraries in 2004. In 2008 she became the Youth Services Librarian at Little Boston and Kingston as well as the Teen Services Librarian at Sylvan Way. In 2012 she became the Sylvan Way Branch Manager. Over the last fourteen years with Kitsap Regional Library, Leigh Ann has had the opportunity to develop innovative programming, promote library services and build strong community relationships. Her key interests include STEM education and workforce readiness. She is thrilled to be back in Kingston and looks forward to working in the community in which she lives.
