We, as a congregation, have the opportunity to support and welcome them into fellowship. The students will be Confirmed at the 8:30 service and presented to the congregation at the 10:55 service. Please make every effort to be present for these students as they make this profession of faith. Your help and items are needed! "COFFEE WITH THE PASTORS" APRIL 19, 2015-10:30 A.M. - WESLEY ROOM "Coffee with the Pastors" is held about four times a year [roughly once a quarter]. Our next "CWTP" is scheduled for Sunday, April 19th at 10:30 a.m. in the Wesley Room. ALL NEW MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A CWTP. People can attend, and in a small-group setting, learn more about Central, its mission, and membership expectations. Those who desire to join may do so at the conclusion of the CWTP.
YOUTH MINISTRY JR HIGH/CLUB 412 GLOW-IN-THE-DARK EGG HUNT This year's glow-in-the-dark egg hunt will be held SUNDAY, MARCH 29TH, 6:30-8:00 p.m. for students in the 4th - 7th grades. Students will gather in the 11th Street gym to begin this fun filled event. You DO NOT want to miss this evening of fun at Central. If you would like to make a contribution to the hunt, a list of needed candies for "Candy Bar" is available in the Crossing! *Please note the time change! SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY LUNCH BUNCH - MARCH 27, 2015-11:30 A.M. Lunch Bunch will meet at 11:30 a.m. in the Adult Activities Room. Rev. Dennis Gossett will continue with "Dinner with Matthew." CHILDREN S MINISTRY GROWING OUR FAITH FUND-RAISER FOR CENTRAL'S CHILDREN and FAMILY MINISTRY Beginning this Sunday you will have the opportunity to support Central's Children and Family Ministry in a unique way. On the display in the Crossing you will find 125 envelopes with amounts ranging from $1 to $125. W e ask that you simply pick an envelope with an amount, place the cash or check for that amount in the envelope, and either place it in the box provided or drop off at the church office. These contributions will go to offset costs of both children and family camps and retreats. PALM SUNDAY Children will participate in the Procession of Palms at both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:55 a.m. services on Palm Sunday, March 29th. Those participating in the 8:30 service, please be in the Crossing at 8:20, and 10:50 for the 10:55 service!
EASTER LILIES - DEADLINE MONDAY, MARCH 30, 2015 All orders for Easter Lilies must be received by Monday, March th 30. These lilies will be placed in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall on Easter Sunday. MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM CENTRAL'S RAMP MINISTRY - RAMP BUILD Last Saturday, March 22nd, volunteers from Central constructed a ramp for Mrs. Mary Clark after dismantling an old ramp, which was far too steep. Representing Central were Leigh Barber (photographer), Alan Brown, Jim Copeland, Cliff Gilbert, Sandy Johnson, Tom Johnson, David Labutka, Blair Mitcham, and James Whitley. They were assisted by Jerry Fox, (Team Leader) and by Vickie Gregory, Kevin Rooney, and Kim Runyan of Lauderdale UMC. AND IF YOU THINK RAMP BUILDING IS JUST FOR MEN, CHECK OUT THIS WELL KNOWN LADY THAT CAN REALLY HANDLE POWER TOOLS!!!!!
