Conference Objectives Discuss nursing documentation from a risk-management perspective. Relate maternal use of SSRIs, Kratom, benzodiazepines and opioids during pregnancy and the potential effect on the newborn. Identify factors associated with and potential responses to, parental hesitancy and refusal of Newborn Vitamin K and Hepatitis B vaccine. Foster a better understanding of the manifestations of grief and how nurses can best support women and families suffering perinatal loss. Define Sudden Unexpected Postnatal Collapse and identify nursing strategies to monitor babies and prevent critical events. Target Audiences Nursing from obstetrics, NICU, labor and delivery, postpartum, well baby nursery, emergency department, pediatrics, and paramedics or others interested in perinatal medicine or transport. CNE Accreditation Statement This activity has been submitted to the Emergency Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours.
