JOIN THE FIGHT TO END HOMELESSNESS IN THE ST. LOUIS REGION OUR MISSION St. Patrick Center provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Individuals and families build permanent, positive change in their lives through safe and affordable housing, sound mental and physical health, and employment and financial stability. Thank you for your interest in hosting a Pot O' Gold fundraiser to benefit St. Patrick Center clients and programs. These fundraisers generate more than $95,000 each year. We could not do this without our community! WHAT IS A POT O' GOLD FUNDRAISER? A Pot O' Gold fundraiser is any activity or event organized and managed by a group or individuals not affiliated with St. Patrick Center. The agency also holds no fiduciary or financial responsibility and little-to-no staff involvement. POT O' GOLD FUNDRAISERS HAVE THE FOLLOWING GOALS: Raise additional funds for St. Patrick Center clients and programs Spread awareness about St. Patrick Center s mission and the programs and services we provide Create ways for St. Patrick Center to reach new donors and volunteers

HOW WE CAN HELP ST. PATRICK CENTER CAN DO THE FOLLOWING: Offer planning and organization advice on how to make your event successful Promote the event on the St. Patrick Center website's event page and social media platforms Send a St. Patrick Center staff member and volunteers to attend your event, if available. We request a minimum of 45 days notice for recruitment. Authorize the use of the St. Patrick Center name and Pot O Gold logo on promotional materials. In certain cases, special permission may be granted to use the St. Patrick Center logo. Issue tax receipts for donations made directly to St. Patrick Center (Example: Checks made payable to St. Patrick Center) ST. PATRICK CENTER CANNOT DO THE FOLLWING: Provide funding for or reimburse any event expenses. This includes offering sales tax exemption(s) on purchases made for the event. Apply for licenses or insurance for the third party event. Process tax receipts for donations (cash or in-kind) that are not directly received by St. Patrick Center. Provide St. Patrick Center constituent (donor or volunteer) lists. Solicit sponsors or donations for revenue, auctions, raffles, etc. Guarantee staff and volunteers to attend the third party event.

POT O' GOLD EVENT & FUNDRAISING IDEAS JEANS DAY PENNY WAR OR CHANGE DRIVE CHILI COOK-OFF Go casual for a great cause at your workplace or school to raise funds and awareness. In exchange for a small donation, all employees or students dress down and wear a special sticker. Organize a penny war or change drive between classrooms or departments at work. The winning team could earn a pizza party or morning of donuts. Bring out your inner Cooking Channel star and host a chili cook-off. Competitors donate to enter and participants donate to sample and vote. The winner gets the ultimate bragging rights. OFFICE BINGO Employees purchases bingo cards for a donation. A few times a day, email a Bingo numbr to all participants. The first one to reply with BINGO wins. The Bingo game continues until all prizes are distributed. RAFFLES Sell raffle tickets for exciting prizes: a day of vacation, sports tickets, restaurant gift certificates and much more. Share about your fundraiser on social media and tag @stpatrickcenter 63-568-5503 hello@laurenhansons.com @laurenhansons

POT O' GOLD SUCCESSES POT O' GOLD SUCCESSES The Trevisanos, of Crestwood, turn their house into Trevisano Teddy Bear Christmas Land each holiday season. Visitors drive past and enjoy thousands of lights, 100+ teddy bears, animations and Christmas music. The Trevisanos could collect donations to pay their electric bill, but for 14 years, they have chosen to donate to St. Patrick Center. For nearly 20 years, Edward Jones has led their employees in raising money for St. Patrick Center. The leaders organize raffles, jeans/tennis shoes days, and donut sales. All of the money is donated to support St. Patrick Center clients and programs. In March 2018, a single department at Anheuser-Busch (pictured below) raised $16,000 through raffles, auctions and a trivia night for Anheuser-Busch employees. They doubled their donation from the previous year. A little friendly competition can produce big results! If you are interested in planning a Pot O' Gold fundraiser, contact Maggie Kloppenberg at mkloppenberg@stpatrickcenter.org or 314-802-5418.
