The Wednesday Lenten (6:30 p.m.) offerings will be designated to the General Fund. LUNCH IN LENT FIRST COMMUNION CLASSES Instruction for first communion happens every spring for 5th grade students. Students are able to receive communion for the first time on the Thursday before Easter, at our two services recalling the Last Supper (Maundy Thursday, April 18). This year instruction will begin on Sunday, March 24 during Sunday School 10:15-11:20 a.m. The remaining 3 classes will be on Mondays after school from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. (April 1, 8, 15). ST. PAUL TO SERVE THE SHELDON AREA UNITY MEAL Mark your calendar on Monday, March 18, for the Sheldon Area Unity Meal! St. Paul will be serving the meal in March at Living Water Community Church and volunteers to help with this community service project are needed and greatly appreciated. JR. HIGH YOUTH GROUP NEWS: The parents of the Junior High Youth met recently with Pastor Craig to discuss Wednesday night activities. Currently, Craig is doing Wednesday night youth group alone with anywhere from 20-25 kids in attendance. He is going to be calling on some members of the congregation to help with small groups. If this is something that interests you, please let him know. During the month of March, we will be ice skating and volunteering at the Unity Meal. Watch for a sign-up sheet. - Barbara Besaw ST. PAUL ANNUAL YOUTH PORK SUPPER Join us for the Annual Smoked Pork Sandwich Supper on Monday, April 1 from 5-7 p.m., here at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The menu will be smoked pork sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, drinks and dessert. A free will offering will be taken with all the proceeds going to our Youth Ministry Mission Trip fund. ST. PAUL TO DELIVER MEALS ON WHEELS St. Paul Lutheran Church is in charge of delivering Meals On Wheels for the month of March. Thank you to all who signed up to deliver Meals On Wheels in March. Please check your calendar for the dates you signed up for. LOVE INC ANNUAL MEETING The Love INC Annual meeting will be held on Friday, March 29 at the Sheldon Crossroads Pavilion. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and dinner served at 6:25 p.m. Partner churches will be highlighted this year and Love INC hopes each church will have a table of 8 guests representing that church. The annual meeting is a significant fundraiser for Love INC, aside from the great opportunity to show what the organization and its partners are accomplishing. Please let Pastor Craig know by March 10, if you can attend and represent St. Paul Lutheran Church at the meeting. TOUCH OF HOPE HAITI St. Paul has an ongoing mission started by our youth to support Lensley Raymond from Simonette, Haiti. This sponsorship will help with his school expenses each year. If you would like to make a donation towards Lensley s school tuition through your offering, there is a dedicated fund set up (Touch of Hope Haiti). EASTER FLOWERS: Donations due by Thursday, April 4, 2019. You may supply your own plants or all monies donated will be used to purchase flowers to decorate the sanctuary for Easter.
