Jorge Carreño Girón pastor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Lima - Peru for the Missionary Cooperative Appeal of our Diocese this year. Many people have been migrating to this parish from the Andes Mountains due to hunger, extreme poverty and terrorism. We will be learning about their essential mission work among our poor brothers from Peru; their stories, their challenges and their lives. Learn about the differences the Parish is making and the people they serve. We can MAKE A DIFFERENCE with our prayer and financial support. The second collection will be devoted for this intention. Please be generous. Thank you. We try to help many families to have a better formation for their children in our Parish Some of the parishioners return to the Peruvian Andes, and give support to different communities through missions, retreats and forming new christian communities NOTICE St. Aloysius will no longer offer an 8:00 a.m. Saturday Morning Mass. SUMMER MUSIC AT ST. ALOYSIUS During the summer months there will be two music groups that will sing for Sunday liturgy: Summer Choir begins on Sunday, June 7 (the Feast of Corpus Christi) and continues each Sunday through Labor Day. Summer choir is open to all adult, youth, and children of the parish. It is an ideal way for a family to share in music ministry together. This choir is designed to allow individuals and families to try out singing in a church choir without having to commit to a mid --week rehearsal. Summer Choir is flexible. It is organized to accommodate the vacation and summer schedules of our parishioners. The choir will rehearse at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday in the Convent Choir Room. The Summer Choir will lead the music for the 11:00 a.m. mass. For more information about the Summer Choir, contact Eleanor Bach eleanorbach@gmail.com or Ken Thevenet, 343-6657, ext 3030. kthevenet@staloysiusparish.com, The 5:30 Music Ministry will also continue to provide music for the Sunday evening Mass during the summer months. This group is primarily made up of High School Age Youth. High School Youth who enjoy singing are invited to join this music group. Rehearsals take place before Mass at 4:30 p.m. in the Convent Choir Room. Contact Anna Hittle hittleanna@gmail.com or Ken Thevenet, 343-6657, ext 3030 for more information.
