Page 19 Community Notice The Family Photo contest is organized by GénérAction and the local committee on school perseverance. A video clip will be launched at each season of 2016-2017. A new contest will be opened at each season. Each contest runs: 1st contest Fall: September 21st to November 25th, 2016 2nd contest Winter: January 2nd to March 31st, 2017 3rd contest Summer: April 3rd to June 16th, 2017 4th contest Fall: June 19th to September 1st, 2017 A final grand prize winner will be drawn from all entries received during the year. Page 23 Public Works Department IMPORTANT NOTICE The Public Works Department has been receiving numerous calls and complaints about dogs running at large in the community. There is an animal by-law and it must be respected. As per section 21. (1) of the Animal By-Law No. 2008-01, no owner shall permit their dog to be at large on the reserve. Furthermore, section 5. (1) states that every person keeping one or more dogs, or other domestic animals on the reserve shall register and have an identification tag and telephone # where the owner can be reached, placed around the neck of each animal. If there is no identification then the animal will be considered a stray and will be destroyed. Please keep your pets tied to prevent any further incidents from occurring. The winter months will soon be here and the Public Works Department would like to remind everyone wanting to sign a new agreement for snow removal/sanding to please stop by the band office. Attached you will find a copy of the agreement and the medical attestation form. Seniors do not have to sign new agreements.

To be signed in person at the Band Office, 24 Algonquin Avenue, during working hours. If received later than the 20 th of the month, a cheque will be made for the beneficiary the following day after the regular cheque run and if it falls on the weekend, a cheque will be made the following Monday. Pick up is at 3:30pm.
