Registration How do I register? Fall Registration Night Date: September 11, 2018 Time: 5:00-7:30 pm Location: Whitemouth School Payment accepted by cash or cheque only at registration night. Sign up for any of the WRRC s programs listed in this guide! Online Registration Can t make it to registration night? No problem! Visit our website or Facebook page to find our online registration forms. Complete the online form and submit payment by one of the options below. 1) E-transfer Send to: adminassistant@rmwhitemouth.com Security Question: Abbreviated name for the Whitemouth River Recreation Commission Answer: WRRC 2) Cash or Cheque Mailed Please send to: Whitemouth River Recreation Commission Inc. Box 248 Whitemouth, Manitoba R0E 2G0 You will receive an email once payment has been received. 3) Cash or Cheque Dropped-Off Payment can be accepted during WRRC office hours or during the RM of Whitemouth Town Office Hours Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30 pm at 49 Railway Ave., Whitemouth Note: Your spot in the program will be removed if payment is not received by the payment deadline. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum numbers are not met. Refunds will not be provided unless the program is cancelled by the WRRC.

The Whitemouth River Recreation Commission The Whitemouth River Recreation Commission (WRRC) is a community based organization that aims to use the delivery of public recreation to further the growth and development of its communities and those living within the RM of Whitemouth. The commission provides services to all residents in all age groups within the community. What we do: Provide recreation opportunities and programs for residents. Serve as a community resource by facilitating the exchange of information between community groups, funding bodies, government and other organizations. Promote healthy communities through public education and awareness of the benefits of recreation. Work in partnership with local groups and organizations to provide meaningful programming and services to the community. What s New NEW: Wondering what to do with the kids during PD Days? Send them to Day Camp! When school is out, it s time for some fun! Join the WRRC for PD Day camps, running 9-4 pm, with drop off between 8:30-9:00 am and pick-up between 4:00-4:30 pm. All day camps held at the Whitemouth School. Online registration available on our website and Facebook, or complete the form at the back of this guide. Fall Dates: Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 Register for Day Camp at Registration Night, or online September 12, 2018

Weekly Programs NEW: Bed Time Stories Spark your child s imagination and creativity through storytelling! This class features a carefully selected story read for the group accompanied with a craft or activity that ties into the story. Kids get the chance to practice fine motor coordination, build confidence and gain self-esteem. Best enjoyed by ages 3-5 and caregivers, but younger and older siblings are welcome. Registration not required - $ 2.00 admission per family Date: Mondays; September 24-November 26, 2018 Time: 6:00-7:00 Location: Whitemouth School Library Program made possible by the Bright Beginnings Grant Tai Chi Date: Mondays September 17- November 26, 2018 Open to all ages and abilities. Location: Seven Sister Falls Community Club Registration deadline: September 14, 2018 Group 1 (Beginners) Time: 6:00-7:00 pm Cost: $35.00 for the full session Group 2 (Have completed May 2018 Session) Time: 6:00-7:45 pm Cost: $40.00 for the full session

The Whitemouth 4-H Club Returning: The Whitemouth 4-H Club The Whitemouth 4-H Club is a youth leadership development organization. With unique projects, club activities and beyond the club opportunities, 4-H is a proven leader in: Building effective youth leaders Training Successful speakers & communicators Teaching technical, project & life skills Bringing families & communities together Creating future opportunities for youth Youth are in the driver s seat with the ability to create their own path to discovery, fun and friendship in 4-H. Through the Whitemouth 4-H experience members will build the confidence and skills to take on their role as the leaders of today, and tomorrow. Cost: $ 90.00 for the full season (September-May). Events & Workshops Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) This course is required to be eligible to apply for a Possession and Acquisition Licence. Topics covered in the CFSC include: The evolution of firearms, major parts, types and actions; basic firearms safety practices; ammunition; operating firearm actions; safe handling and carry procedures; firing techniques and procedures; care of non-restricted firearms; responsibilities of the firearms owner/user; and, safe storage, display, transportation and handling of non-restricted firearms Date: September 29, 2018 Time: 9:00 5:00 pm Location: Seven Sister Falls Gun Range Cost: $ 105.00 Registration & Payment Deadline: Sept. 21, 2018 Hunter Safety Course The course you need to purchase a Manitoba Hunting License! Hunter education promotes safe and ethical hunting practices and introduces new hunters to wildlife management, hunter responsibilities and how to prepare for the hunt. A person must be at least 12 years of age to purchase a hunting license or qualify for the youth hunting provision. Students ages 10 & 11 can take this course, and they will receive a Hunter Apprenticeship certificate which will automatically turn into a Hunter Education certificate once they become 12 with no need to redo this course. Youth ages 10 & 11 have a shared bag limit for bird hunting. Thursday, Sept. 20 th, 1:00 p.m. Happy Hours Seniors Club (Whitemouth Community Hall) Presented by: Community Wellness staff (IERHA) Get Better Together - FREE FREE six week program will be offered this fall. Get Better Together is for anyone living with a chronic disease or ongoing health concern who would like to take better control of their health. This program is a licensed version of the highly successful Chronic Disease Self-Management Program at Stanford University Patient Education Centre. Studies show that participants report better overall health status lasting well beyond the program! Dates: Sept. 25 th, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30 th. Community Events AWANA: Whiteshell Baptist Church Children ages 3 to grade 6 are invited to join our program. Begins Wednesday, September 26. The program runs from 6:30-8:00 pm. Youth Group: Whiteshell Baptist Church Students in grades 7-12 are invited to join us for events throughout the year. We will begin Friday September 14. See our Facebook page for more information.
