What is Research in Germany? In 2006 the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) started a campaign to Promote Innovation and Research in Germany with the slogan Research in Germany. Goals Create a unique profile and improve the reputation and visibility of Germany as a place of research Attract t top-rate t scientists t and young researchers to Germany ( brightest minds ) Establish cooperative e ventures between een German and foreign R&D organisations Provide funding and support to research projects and German R&D investments Target groups Foreign researchers at universities i i and research institutes Decision-makers at foreign R&D- oriented companies Young foreign scientists Investors Media
