Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 2019 Scholarship Application Information Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Kappa Psi Omega chapter is offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at an accredited four year or two year institution. All requirements below must be met. The scholarship will be awarded after the student submits an enrollment verification letter (please include your student ID number with the letter) from the two-year or four-year college. School and community service is highly recommended. To qualify, the applicant must be: 1. An ethnic minority and/or underrepresented student 2. A U.S. citizen or permanent resident 3. A graduating senior from a Dane County area High School with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher 4. Able to attend the Links Scholarship Award Ceremony (June 2, 2019) To apply, applicant must: 1. Complete and sign the scholarship application form 2. Secure parental signature if applicant is under 18 years of age 3. Write a 500-750 word essay on one of the scholarship topics 4. Submit a copy of their ACT or SAT scores 5. Submit an official transcript with an official seal stamp of high school grades in a separate sealed envelope 6. Submit an official photo (headshot) 7. Scholarship Essay Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Applicant must follow all essay writing instructions. 1. Write an essay responding to one of the two topics below. 2. It must be double spaced in a 12 point font. 3. Write out the question at the top of your paper. 4. The chosen topic shall be at least 500 to 750 words maximum. 5.
