These activities may require separate applications and fees are to be paid to the sponsoring associations. In order for USEF Judges and Judge Applicants to apply for or maintain their USEF license, these individuals are required to attend specific educational sessions of the International Equine Judges Seminar (IEJS). Each attendee must pay the IEJS Carded Judge Seminar fee and submit a reservation form to register to attend these sessions. Current Judges: USEF Judges must attend the designated sessions at the IEJS and following the seminar they must complete the online USEF Western Judges technical training. Applicants: USEF applicants do not have to register for or attend the applicant sessions held Sunday through Wednesday. If You Are a Carded Judge The associations participating in this seminar will provide you the opportunity to further your judging education and abilities. You will have the chance to: Share your judging experiences and ideas Carded Judges will be required to sign out at the Discuss ethics end of the last session on Saturday afternoon to Communicate with your association receive credit for attending the seminar. Learn current association judging standards Make travel plans accordingly. Learn new up-to-date scoring systems Please advise CBC in writing 30 days prior to the CBC Seminar of any special needs such as wheelchair access or dietary restrictions. If You Are an Applicant Congratulations on being selected to attend this seminar. Any questions regarding evaluation requirements should be directed to the association(s) to which you are applying. Invited applicants will receive a reservation form from the association(s) for which they are applying. Applicants, who are already carded with another CBC association, that are attending the Carded Judges Seminar requires a separate reservation form and Carded Seminar Fee in addition to applicant reservation form and fee. As an applicant, you may be tested using video judging, rulebook testing and an interview session. Your personal presentation will also be evaluated throughout the seminar. Associations may provide their applicants with their overall score, however, CBC, Inc. will not be responsible for the release of testing scores. Applicants are required to wear appropriate judging attire applicable for the breed you are applying with during all applicant sessions, unless the schedule or the association(s) you are applying with indicates otherwise.
