Statements & Search Criteria Mission MissionRNO s mission, simply put, is to improve health literacy and empower communities through outreach. Our mission, is to serve all members of the community and, through charitable giving, provide services to the indigent, uninsured and under-served members of the region by providing health education, health screenings, providing health resource information and supporting public health needs. RNO works with community partners to host local health fairs and public health education events to better the overall health and wellness of the population. In addition, RNO provides individual services as well as corporate assessments to increase organizational health and productivity. Background The FOUNDERSMrs. Quarles and Ms. McDaniel are highly experienced Registered Nurses with a combined 20 years of nursing experience, whose life's work has been dedicated to education. They're passion is rooted in the prevention, maintanence and reduction of illness. Mrs. Quarles and Ms. McDaniel are here to advocate for you and your health. As the founders of RNovations Health (RNO), they are "EXPANDING YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH"! Impact Vision RNO is building health literate communities through charitable works. Through ongoing stewardship, RNO will increase public health literacy regarding high impact and high prevalence chronic illnesses including but not limited to : Heart Disease Asthma COPD Diabetes and complications Hypertension and complications Heart FailureRNO promotes public health awareness and wellbeing as we aim to eliminate health illiteracy as a factor in health disparities for the under-served, improve health resource utilization, decrease mortality and morbidity; while, improving overall quality of life. In the past year, RNO has conducted several public education sessions for such disease as diabetes and heart failure. In addition, RNovations Health has donated goods and services to local public schools. Needs In order for RNovations Health to continue to continue to reach out to the community and improve the health of the citizens of the metro Richmond area, monetary and in-kind donations are needed. Currently, monetary donations are needed to meet the organizations operating budget so that health fairs and education sessions for 2017 can be implemented. These fairs consist of offering free blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index screenings to the public. Also, the donations support education sessions on chronic disease management (diabetes, heart disease, lupus, hypertension, obesity, asthma, etc.). In addition to monetary donations, in-kind donations for facility spaces are greatly appreciated so that RNO may meet the needs of as many citizens as possible. Lastly, your time is also very valuable to us. RNO gladly accepts willing volunteers that believe in our mission and goals of creating a healthier society.
