In this packet you will find information regarding SERVE, our Summer Service Team (SST) program for the upcoming 2019 season. If you are reviewing this information that means you are just too old for our Summer Day Camp program and are too young to be a Junior Counselor. That s ok, this program will keep you busy. We are looking for young people who are on-fire for Christ and are willing to roll up their sleeves and help serve His people. For eight weeks this Summer you will get together with your SERVE team-mates, head out into the world and use your talents and skills to serve and bring joy to the people of Milwaukee. You will move from one service project to another, in some cases, making a difference in the lives of those who may be impoverished, sick and/or lonely. Or, you may find yourself working on projects that will benefit those who work with the poor and needy. Sometimes those who need to be served are the ones who will be standing right next to you. You will find that this program may benefit you and your team-mates almost as much as the people you will serve. Although we may not change the world in a summer we will certainly make a dent. Of course it won t always be work, fellowship with one another is important as well. You will have opportunities to bond with your team-mates in ways that will ensure friendships for years to come.
