If you would like to receive updates about IGPs, testing, scholarships, career exploration, college info and more, join the CFHS Counseling Department Remind group by texting @carolinafo to 81010 or send an email to carolinafo@mail.remind.com NJROTC: Every May various organizations attempt to raise awareness of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, in pursuit of a cure. This past Saturday, August 27 Carolina Forest High School's NJROTC decided to make a little noise as they participated in a local community service event at the Myrtle Beach Harley Davidson store on South King Highway, The daylong event both promoted awareness and provided an opportunity for numerous local vendors to contribute proceeds to raise money for the South Carolina Chapter of the the ALS Association. Early in the morning, eleven squared-away cadets helped set up and ran this event. Cadets set up tables, and chairs, manned the ALS Dunk Tanks, while others served as parking attendants for the hundreds of attendees, many whom brought their custom bikes to the event. Although tired after a full day, the cadets admitted that the event was an inspirational one. "I think the most inspirational part was seeing a large group of people come out and support an individual person and change their life by having some fun." Cadet Theresa Gizzi explained. However, the biggest take-away for these cadets was that it might only take a few hours to make a difference in someone's life, but that difference can change a life their life forever. A little difference can go a long way. If you are interested in finding out more about Carolina Forest High School s NJROTC Unit, and the community service projects they support, contact Captain Kevin Boyle at 843-903-7512, or go visit their CFHS Panther Navy Facebook Webpage.. Do you have what it takes to be push past your limits? Do you want to have courage, proper strength, and the mindset to keep going? Well, Carolina Forest High school NJROTC cadets have what it takes. This past Friday August 26th, Carolina Forest High school s NJROTC program got the privilege to have the National Guard all the way from Columbia SC to have Warrior Fit. Warrior fit is basically intense workout with different varieties.
