Apply for admission to the University. The University application process is electronic and done through Cal State Apply. Deadline Feb. 1 2. After applying through Cal State Apply, submit supplemental materials to the Department of Art. Deadline Feb. 15. Submit the following to the department: 1. Departmental application to the Master of Arts program. 2. Artist Resume (CV). 3. Listing of all art history courses taken. 4. Three Professional References. Letter of reference not needed. 5. Digital Submission of imagery. 6. Annotated list of Digital Submission (image or file list). Digital Submission/Image format Applicants are to submit documentation of their work on a USB Flash Drive (in mailed envelope or personally delivered), or through Dropbox.com (still images/jpg.), and Vimeo.com (video, audio) submission. Submission on Flash Drive should include 20 JPG format images between 1.0-3.0 megabytes each. Size to 1024 pixels (14.22 inches) on the longest side, at 72ppi. Label each file with image number (in order they are to be viewed), your last name, the first letter of your first name (e.g., 01_Doe_J.jpg). Enclose an annotated list PDF file in addition to a hard copy identifying each work by number, title, dimensions, medium, completion date, and any other relevant information. In addition, applicants may also include a PowerPoint Presentation file of the same slides: self-contained, with black or white background only with no image transitions. On the bottom right of each slide, number the slide with the number corresponding to your annotated list. Digital Submission/Video Audio format Submission on Flash Drive should include one 3.5-minute preview/excerpt of video works and two full-length projects. The two full-length projects are supplementary and may or may not be reviewed. Enclose an annotated list PDF file in addition to the hard copy identifying each work by number, title, dimensions, running time, completion date, and any other relevant information. Videos are to be in MP4 format. Online Submission of Digital Material In the space provided on Page 3 Digital Submission, provide the link(s) to your on line accounts. For Dropbox.com provide a link and password (only if password protected). For Vimeo.com provide a link(s) to works or link to an album grouping of work and password (only if password protected). Please note: The department reserves the right to interview each applicant. The interview may be in person or video conference with a graduate committee member (full-time studio faculty). Because of the processing involved with the OGS application, students are advised to start the application process early. The application cannot be completed in one sitting/one day. 1
