News From Mrs. DeLeo: Transitioning from one school to another brings excitement and anxiety to students and parents alike. To address this, a group of 6th graders have been working with Mrs. St. Michel, Mrs. DeLeo, and the Aitken and Martin 5th grade Tech Team members, under the guidance of Mrs. Quaratella. Their goal is to complete a collaborative project consisting of podcasts and videoclips addressing questions and concerns about the elementary to middle school transition. The finished projects will be presented to 5th grade parents at 7:00 P.M. during their Parent Orientation Night on Monday, June 16, 2008 and to 5th students who will also visit the middle school in June. Mrs. DeLeo is now working with Mrs. Fitzgerald, the Transition Coordinator and Ms. Lawrence, a 9th grade English teacher from the high school, to create podcasts for our current 8th graders - soon-to-be the next high school freshmen class. Please email her at deleok@seekonk.k12.ma.us with any questions or concerns of your own that may be addressed through this endeavor. ATTENTION BAND PARENTS!!!!!
