A Note from Pastor Phillips: Thank you for coming to worship with us today. If you are a first-time visitor, I would sure like the opportunity to meet you and welcome you personally. Because I believe in a Sovereign God, I don t believe anything happens by chance. I believe you were brought here for a purpose. I would love to help you discover that purpose, and to see if there is any way we as a church can bless and minister to you and your family. Please stop by the Resource Center after the service so I can shake your hand. I d sure count it a privilege. Pastor Harold COVER IMAGE: September 18, 1793 - U.S. President George Washington lays the first cornerstone of the U.S. Capital. As we educate ourselves about the candidates in the upcoming election, let us remember that Jesus is the cornerstone of our lives, and seek His face and guidance in this most critical upcoming election. BUSINESS MEETING: Copies of the notes from our last Business Meeting are available in the spinning rack in the lobby. You may also order t-shirts in the church office during regular office hours. Thank you! Thanks! 1 to 4 inch plastic geometric shapes small plastic tongs small plastic animals, bugs or dinosaurs We are asking EVERYONE in our church family to LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORS! We have a new supply of TRUE LIFE business cards available at the Welcome Center. They make reaching out easy by providing internet links to information about our Savior. Jesus emphasized loving our neighbor as second only to loving God Himself. We encourage everyone who attends PVBC to reach out in a friendly way to the folks who live in your neighborhood. Take them some cookies (with a card attached). Stop by and shake their hand when you see them mowing the lawn (and give them a card). Invite them to attend church and ask if there is anything you can pray about for them. Reach out. Love your neighbor.

See You at the Pole is a prayer rally where students meet at the flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, & nation to God. It is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event. We will also have homeschoolers meeting at the Church flag pole for prayer at 7:00 a.m. Parents: Let us know where YOU LL be! Don t miss this opportunity to lift your students and their teachers up in prayer. Mark your calendars and set your alarms! We ll SEE YOU AT THE POLE! We will be taking a group to Annapolis for the Decision America Prayer Tour Tuesday, October 11. We are chartering a bus to transport all who wish to go. The cost of the bus ride is $25 per adult and $15 per student (STUDENTS NOT ENROLLED IN PASTOR JOSH S HISTORY OR BIBLE CLASS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT TO ATTEND). Please bring a bag lunch to enjoy during the ride to the event. We do not plan to stop to purchase lunch. We will leave the church at 9 a.m. and should return by 3 p.m. If you are interested in attending the event, please sign up at the Welcome Center. Payment for your bus ticket may be placed in the offering, with Decision America in the memo area of the check. We have a 30 day prayer calendar available at the Welcome Center as well. Whether you plan to attend the event or not, please take a prayer calendar, so that you may join us in corporate prayer for our state and nation.
