NUR 211M Assessment and Diagnosis in Nursing The course is designed to describe the concepts of contemporary professional nursing and basic nursing skills for helping students nurses grow and evolve to meet the demands of a dramatically changing health care system. It prepares students to develop and utilize nursing care plans and gain deeper insights into the issues they will confront in the profession. Concepts include a systems approach to therapeutic communication and relationships, evidence-based care, symptom management, teaching/learning, leadership, and collaboration with other healthcare workers.
