PROJECT FOCUS Focusing on waste reduction to prevent depletion of non-renewable resources Boosting collaboration between textile companies and innovation system to find new green markets for waste and alternative solutions to raw materials Target groups: Local/regional/national public authority, sectoral agency, higher education and research institution, SME, large enterprises, business support organization, service provider, interest groups including NGOs TAKING COOPERATION FORWARD 4
PROJECT OBJECTIVES Promoting a joint offer of innovative services by the main local R&D centers and business associations/clusters Reducing the production of textile waste to prevent the consumption of non-renewable resources Fostering the Circular Economy approach and the Industrial Symbiosis Supporting the networking between companies through the use of the Life M3P platform TAKING COOPERATION FORWARD 5
PROJECT OUTPUT I OUTPUT 1 Strategic Agenda on textile waste management and recycling OUTPUT 2 Textile Waste Database OUTPUT 3 Pilot cases To define the strategy to address the waste management objectives and concrete actions to be developed Based on Life M3P platform, to help the material match making between the companies Collaboration among the clusters/associations, and the technological centers could support and strength the innovation on the material resource efficiency TAKING COOPERATION FORWARD 6
PROJECT OUTPUT II OUTPUT 4 High Level Training modules To provide high qualified skills in order to face the innovation challenge that companies should face during their innovation sustainability process OUTPUT 5 Textile Network for Circular Economy To create a virtual centre among the project technology partner to offer wider services and solutiuons to resource efficiency and to strength regional innovation capacity OUTPUT 6 Action Plan Improvement of Textile Industry towards Circular Economy To define needed actions to support Circular Economy in the textile sector and available resources for their implementation TAKING COOPERATION FORWARD 7
CONCLUSIONS 1. Central Europe priority: to enhance innovation on (textile) industry by improving linkages among main actors of innovation 2. ENTeR project: to address textile materials and recycling processes in a circular economy framework 3. M3P platform: to find matches between waste and needed (second) raw materials (Industrial Symbiosis: multi- or cross-sectoral way) 4. ENTeR partners: to solve together problems coming from companies when they look at recycling 5. Pilot cases: to allow ENTeR partnership to work together in solving them Using the platform as material match making system TAKING COOPERATION FORWARD 8
