Kami is an edtech editing software that allows students to make annotations virtually on a text document or a PDF. Kami is used by millions of users and thousands of schools around the world. Kami Heroes were selected for their use of the software in an innovative way in the field of education. This selection allows her to share full access to the program to our students for free, work on beta'd projects for the site, and create content and examples for the company in general. AM CAR LINE When dropping off students in the morning, please pull-up all the way to the next car in front of you. We have several people who are stopping by the gym to let their students out. This is causing the line to back-up in the parking lot, and occasionally along Weldin Rd. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
TO JESUS THROUGH MARY The Diocesan theme for 2017-18 is To Jesus through Mary. January Focus Luminous Mysteries January Virtue of the Month Wisdom The theme for Catholic Schools Week reminds us of the five commitments which Catholic schools accomplish in bringing the reign of God to fulfillment in our world. In Catholic schools students are taught to BE- LIEVE, LEARN, SERVE, LEAD, SUCCEED. Each of these actions enable them to be informed and formed as Catholic citizens so that they may transform their schools, parishes, communities, and the world. In the Diocese of Wilmington in 36 Catholic schools each day the transforming work of Catholic education occurs so that young people grow in wisdom and grace as children of God. Let us celebrate the necessity and significance of Catholic schools every day and pray for the continued faithfulness of parents in living their promise made at their children s Baptism to educate them in the ways of the faith. WORLD DAY OF CONSECRATED LIFE The Diocese of Wilmington Principal Notes In 1997, Saint John Paul II instituted a day of prayer for women and men in consecrated life. This celebration occurs on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (February 2). This Feast is also known as Candlemas Day, the day on which candles are blessed symbolizing Christ who is the light of the world. So too, those in consecrated life are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all peoples. Catholic education is, above all, a question of communicating Christ, of helping to form Christ in the lives of others. aint John Paul II TERRA NOVA Due to the major problems experienced with last year s assessment, his year schools within the Diocese of Wilmington will not be administering the Terra Nova. The week of March 12-March 16 will be an instructional week. A committee has been researching alternatives to the Terra Nova and will be reporting their findings in the very near future. Schools will be involved in some form of benchmark assessment in the Spring, however, it will not be the Terra Nova. We will keep you fully informed as more information becomes available. 2
