BULLETIN The Day of Silence is one of the largest student-led actions in the country. The purpose is to raise awareness around the bullying, harassment, and name-calling suffered by all people especially anti-lesbian, gay and their allies. Join us as we take a vow of silence on Friday, April 12, to represent the silence faced by LGBT people and their allies. On the Day of Silence, rather than speaking, participants will hand out Speaking Cards explaining their reasons for remaining silent throughout the day. If you cannot participate in the Day of Silence, please wear red on Friday, April 12 th to show your support. Check out the Community Corner of the district website for information about job opportunities, camps, and local news: http://www.cvsd.net/content/960 Seniors, please consider applying for the Robert Rodrigues Good Citizen Award. This is a $1,000 award for a CV senior who has evidence of leadership, character, and a formal plan for after graduation. The applicant pool will be much smaller than many other scholarships as it is local to CV. https://robertmrodriguesfund.org/apply/ The link to this scholarship is also located on Naviance under Scholarships.
