VISION The vision of CGNA is to promote excellence in gerontological nursing through leadership, knowledge, and scholarship. MISSION The Mission of the Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association (CGNA) is to address the health of older Canadians and the nurses who participate with them in health care. The Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association is an organization that represents gerontological nurses and promotes gerontological nursing practice across national and international boundaries.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS -Welcomed two new conjoint members GNAO(Ontario) and NBGNA(New Brunswick) -Published three issues of the Perspectives Journal (members can access the journal online) -Continue to offer scholarships and research grants to CGNA members - Launched and hosted educational webinars FUTURE INITIATIVES -Planning the 2013 Biennial Meeting to be held at the Sheraton Airport Hotel, Richmond, BC, May 29 June 1, 2013 -Developing a program to sponsor 1 2 undergraduate nursing students to attend any conference with a gerontological nursing component each year at the discretion of the Executive and Board
