DWD Strategic Plan Goal No. 1: Connect Jobseekers to Jobs (250,000 jobs) Strategy: Empower individuals with disabilities resulting in barriers to employment to become economically self-sufficient As part of its mission, DWD facilitates self-sufficiency for job seekers who have disabilities. To meet this objective, DWD will increase the number of successful employment outcomes for job-seekers with disabilities by working with jobseekers and employers.

DWD Strategic Plan Business Services Initiatives DVR implemented a Business Service Initiative that includes a statewide Business Service Team with representatives from each of the 11 Wisconsin Workforce Development Areas to identify Single Point of Contacts (SPOC) and to insure a Rapid Response to employer demand. DVR developed 375 OJTs in FFY 12 125% of goal. 275 consumers who participated in an OJT were closed successfully in FFY 12 82.5% success rate.

Partnership Plus DVR has agreements with certain Employment Networks. An Employment Network is an agency that: can be used as an alternative to DVR or can work hand in hand with DVR to help consumers achieve their long term employment goals

Partnership Plus How it works: DVR has signed agreements with EN s If consumer is working with a Partnership Plus EN but needs DVR services, EN will refer and un-assign the consumer s ticket If consumer closes from DVR we talk to consumer about working with the Partnership Plus EN, however, we do give INFORMED CHOICE!

Improvements to IRIS DVR has an agreement with UI that allows DVR to use UI data to determine if a case is able to be sent for cost reimbursement IRIS has SSA data and UI data and connects the data IRIS now checks to see if a person is getting SSI or SSDI while working with DVR Scheduled rotation to check different file states for claims during the quarter

Cold Case Unit Closed 114 cases successfully in one year DVR receive cost reimbursement claims by getting employment verification Improve the communication between the local office staff and the consumer Is always growing! The CCU unit gets an average of 2 to 3 referrals a day
