MUSTANG RESULTS The Baryons were in the finalist alliance (2nd place) today and won the Connect Award for their outstanding work promoting STEM in the community. They also got 3rd place Innovate Award. They qualified for Super Regionals in Athens, GA on Mar. 8-10! The Messenger staff learned their website has earned the School Newspapers Online (SNO) Site Excellence Badge. Congratulations go to the entire staff, but especially the online staff: Neelansh Bute, Abhi Srirangam, Jen Bosche and Jeff Swift.
MUSTANG RESULTS 1st Place-Jerry Zhang, Grade 12, Marquette High School Project Title: A Geant4 Monte Carlo Simulation of a Quantum Entanglement Experiment of the Decay of Spin- Singlet State Positronium: Computer Replication and Multiple Scattering Mitgation Award: $3,000 Scholarship! Jerry is now qualified to compete at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair in May and will receive an all-expense-paid trip to this event. Jerry will be recognized at the 2018 Academy of Science - St. Louis Outstanding Scientists Awards Dinner on April 5th. Finalist: Vishnu Kumar, Grade 9, Marquette High School Project Title: The Validation of the Psychological Effects of "Superbrain Yoga" through the use of a Brain Computer Interface (BCI) ($1000)
