November / December 2018 Greetings! As fall comes to a close and winter begins to set in, I think about Thanksgiving and the holiday season with a grateful heart for all of the blessings in my life. I know there are times that we all struggle with life s challenges, but I have found that if I take a few minutes and reflect on the day, there is always something to give thanks for. If you don t already have a gratitude journal, I encourage you to write three or four things you are grateful for each day in a journal. I think you will find it brightens your mood and creates a sense of calm even during those stormy days in our lives. May you all experience a sense of peace and joy during this holiday season! Sherry The Giving Tree The Giving Tree will soon be up in the lobby. We will again be partnering with S.O.S. (Springdale Offering Support) to provide gifts for less fortunate families within our community. The tree will be decorated with ornaments listing a gift wish on the back. If you would like to participate, select an ornament, sign it out at the front desk, purchase the item, and return it unwrapped with the ornament attached to the Springdale Community Center by Monday, December 3. We appreciate everyone s generosity. We ask that you only purchase the item listed. If you cannot locate the item, please feel free to exchange the ornament. If you would like to add to your own gift, a gift card from any area store would be greatly appreciated. Volunteers are needed to help wrap the gifts. Please let us know if you are interested in helping by calling 346-3910.
