Path2BSN Central Ohio Technical College / The Ohio State University

U.S. News & World Report ranks Ohio State s online Bachelor s programs #1 in the nation. The Ohio State University College of Nursing has partnered with Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) to provide a clear path so that students can transfer easily from an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) to Ohio State s online RN to BSN program. Path2BSN prepares students at COTC with the Ohio State-approved courses needed to transfer seamlessly, without overlap or loss of credits. At COTC, qualified associate degree nursing students can begin their program each semester. Plus, you ll get hands-on personal instruction from our highly experienced faculty. COTC s small classes average only 13 students, and 100 percent of our nursing faculty have master s degrees. COTC is the only technical college in Ohio operating four full-service campus locations: Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala. Students receive outstanding instruction from the same world-renowned faculty as students on campus, on a flexible schedule. Equipped with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Ohio State, you will be ready to enter the nursing profession as a generalist, educated in the current trends in healthcare and evidence-based practice, and poised to continue your education at the graduate level.

Path2BSN Take charge of your career. You can earn a bachelor s degree from Ohio State affordably, on your schedule. To start your Path2BSN, you can contact the Path2BSN academic advisor at Path2BSN@osu.edu. They ll offer you guidance and help you choose the right Path2BSN for you! There are two ways to accomplish the Path2BSN: Option 1: 2 years at COTC Plus 2 years of online classes with Ohio State Option 2: 3 years at COTC Plus 1 year of online classes with Ohio State You will work with your COTC and Path2BSN advisor on the courses you need to earn an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) at COTC and additional courses that will fulfill prerequisite requirements for Ohio State. You can also learn more about the Path2BSN program by visiting nursing.osu.edu/path2bsn. Watch for announcements about when to submit your letter of intent for the Path2BSN program. You will need to have a cumulative GPA of 3.2. Once your letter of intent is approved, you will be advised when to submit an application, resume and transcripts to Ohio State. Next, you ll need to pass the NCLEX-RN exam to become a licensed Registered Nurse (RN). You can apply to the Ohio State program before you take the NCLEX, but you will need to have passed it before enrolling in NRSADVN 4240 Concepts in Community Health Nursing. Applying to Ohio State: Visit nursing.osu.edu/rnbsn to review the application deadline and required materials you will need to apply to the online BSN program. Questions? Email us at Path2BSN@osu.edu.
