Open Business: 1. Open position of President needs to be filled. 2. 3. Spirit Wear (Beth Thompson, spiritwear@randolphpto.org)- Need more t- shirts and water bottles for next year, but will wait for end of year budget funds availability. Committee Updates: President/Vice President: 1. Mariefe Cahanding chaired meeting. Treasurer: 1. Lisa Schloemer provided finance report, which can be viewed on RFISD PTO website. 2. Lisa Schloemer stated that when you have an upcoming event, you can contact her for a breakdown of previous costs 3. Currently, the budget has no extra surplus, so it is important to stay within budget for the rest of year 4. Questions asked regarding budget report: a. Author visit- they are all booked right now, but it may be possible to book one in May b. Movie License- will not be renewed for next year RES Volunteer Coordinator: Amy Reed stated that it has been quite difficult at times with last minute copy requests at the RES work room, so she will be requesting though MS. Hemenway that it would be greatly appreciated if copy requests could please be submitted 3 days prior to deadline. RES Yearbook: Tricia Thomas wanted to let us know that the deadline for the items in yearbook have been extended by 1 week to March 12; however, she would still like everything by March 5, since March 12 is during spring break. Spirit Night: (via e- mail from Heather Strable) Fundraiser possibility was discussed. (Heather Strable) spiritnight@randolphpto.org Heather spoke with Boosterthon and David Jones, general manager, who came down from Dallas to meet with Mary Anne and Heather. Heather reported, Loved all that he had to say! He spoke briefly with Mrs. Hemenway, elementary school principal, about doing an event. Her hesitation is that we have been strictly asked not to have the students fundraise in the past by the superintendent. This is why we don t sell cookie dough, candles, etc. With Boosterthon the students would be asking friends and family for pledges. We have a new superintendent and Mrs. Hemenway will be meeting with him tomorrow she said she s to speak with him regarding his thoughts on this. Heather then responded: Mrs. Hemenway didn't get a good response in regards to our kids making money for our school so this fundraiser will not be taking place.

Box Top and Redemption: (via e-mail from Janet Lujan) Randolph Elementary Box Tops Contest in December was very successful. Over 4600 box tops were submitted for a total of $467.70. This check will be sent in April. Randolph Elementary and Secondary School Box Tops contests concluded last month. Over 8300+ box tops were submitted. The elementary school submitted over 7,000 and the secondary schools submitted over 500. Anonymous donors donated the remaining balance. In addition, the winners for Randolph MS/HS Box Tops received: 1st Prize $15 Subway gift card 2nd Prize $10 Subway gift card 3rd Prize $10 Sonic gift card 4 Chick Fil A meals (Project Graduation fundraiser paid by PTO) Seven elementary classes will receive a cookie party for submitting the highest amount of box tops. In addition, the top three classes will receive scholastic bucks. Another box top contest will be held, however the check will not be mailed until December 2015. This may prevent collecting expired box tops in the Fall. Labels for Education Our current balance at Labels for Education is 12,506. A catalog is available on line to purchase equipment earned by labels for education. Coaches from both campuses will be contacted to discuss using accrued points. Planet Green All cartridges were mailed in last month. A check for $46.25 will be mailed to the school. Heather typed up letters for donations for food that day for our volunteers and staff (approx. 150) and Emily has been taking those letters to businesses to see what we re able to get.
