AGENT S CORNER Dear 4-H Members & Families, It s that time of year again show season!! As we gear up for what is sure to be both an exciting and an exhausting month, we want to wish everyone luck and remind everyone to be safe and to stay hydrated while at STAR and RGVLS! We had a fun and successful Rally in Hidalgo County! Congratulations to everyone who participated and who have been working hard on their projects all year! Good luck to everyone advancing to District competition! Look out for emails with more information on dates, times, locations, and registration information (see deadline information on page 1)! We had a record number of photo entries, enjoyed a variety of Share-the-Fun performances, and a great fashion show! We hope to make next year s Rally even bigger and better! If anyone would like Agent guidance on projects before going to District, please call the Extension office at (956) 383-1026 to set an appointment or shoot us an email, we will be happy to help! We want to thank everyone who donated or volunteered their time, and we also want to thank and recognize the club managers and project leaders that have helped get the word out on these great opportunities!! EXTENSION NEWS U.S. Department of Agriculture s/ Farm Service Agency (FSA) Youth Loans The U.S. Department of Agriculture s Farm Service Agency (FSA) makes operating loans of up to $5,000 to eligible individual youth, ages ten (10) through twenty (20) to finance income producing, agriculture-related projects. Project must be of modest size, educational and initiated, developed and carried out by youth participating in 4-H clubs, FFA or a similar organization.
