Ethical issues If you tick Yes to one of the questions in the ethical issues table (Admin forms), you should upload an Ethics Self-Assessment Follow the guide How to complete your ethics self-assessment Ethics evaluation is separate from the scientific evaluation Description of the potential ethics issues Explanation how you will deal with the ethical issue(s) Indication of which particular authorisations may be needed / which EU directives are relevant and will be adhered to Annexes if necessary NO TEMPLATE, use your own letterhead, follow the guide, upload as pdf
Tips for the proposal Have a look at the evaluation criteria (work programme 36 ff.) Evaluation process no cross-referencing between Synopsis (B1) and B2 NOT a collaborative project, one PI, (one host institution) No incremental research what type of research has your panel been funding in the past? Do you know some of the successful grantees? Approach them for tips or even their proposal Keywords linked to each panel at the end of the «guide» for applicants represent the expertise of the panel List of the panel members from two years ago (ERC-2017-CoG) you may adapt the style of your 5-page synopsis to the audience https://erc.europa.eu/projects-figures/erc-funded-projects
