About the Hillsborough Rotary Club Originally founded on March 18, 1955, as the Rotary Club of Belle Mead, with noted Belle Mead resident, A. Dix Skillman, as its first president, the service organization later changed its name to the Rotary Club of Hillsborough, and continues to this day to hold its weekly meetings at Pheasant s Landing, then called Charlie s Farm Inn. Today, the Hillsborough Rotary Club has over 40 active members, who volunteer their time at various projects throughout the year to help improve the lives of community members needing assistance. Over the years, the Club has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and devoted countless volunteer hours in support of a wide array of social service organizations and community needs, ranging from college scholarships to Autism research, from area food banks to the Rotary-led effort to eradicate Polio globally, from assembling gift packages for military serving abroad to organizing an annual Easter Egg Hunt for area children. The Hillsborough Rotary Club meets every Wednesday, at 6:15 pm, at Pheasants Landing Restaurant in Hillsborough. Individuals interested in attending an upcoming Hillsborough Rotary Club meeting as a guest may join the club at any of its Wednesday evening meetings.
