Ga m m a -Rh o Ch a p t e r Kappa Sigma Fraternity Installation Banquet March 16 th, 2013 The University of Arizona
welcome... To the gamma-rho chapter of kappa sigma installation banquet This has been a great experience for me. Getting to found a chapter for Kappa Sigma is a huge privilege, and being president of that chapter is an even bigger honor. We have all worked so hard for this, and it has been challenging, however it has made this day even more rewarding. I believe with every bone in my body that this chapter has the ability to be one of the greatest Kappa Sigma chapters in the country. We have a great group of men who excel in the four pillars, and will carry the letters of Kappa Sigma with honor. I thank you all for attending this celebration, and I am glad that I get to witness history being created with all of you. Nick Maccarone Chapter President

Accomplishments of the Gamma-Rho Colony For those of you who don t know, starting a colony is an extremely difficult and time-consuming process. The following are all things that the Colony accomplished and will continue accomplishing after we are granted our Charter: Beating the All-Men s GPA Average. Completing 25 hours of community service per member for the fall pledge class and 10 for the spring pledge class. Having most of our members involved in at least one campus organization. Donating $2,500 to CODAC - a program that helps war veterans dealing with mental health issues. Participating in numerous sorority service projects. Adopting a stretch of highway through the Tucson Clean and Beautiful Program. Providing scholarships to members for academic & leadership accomplishments as well as for those with a financial need. Winning an intramural soccer championship. Building a strong brotherhood. We will continue to demonstrate excellence after we receive our charter, and will use the skills we obtained during our colonization period to maintain a stable and successful chapter. We plan to win the Kappa Sigma Founders Award of Chapter Excellence every year along with many awards here at the University of Arizona.

Special Thank You... We would like to take a moment as a Chapter and thank our alumni who have helped us out every step of the way, and sacrificed so much of their time to make this re-colonization possible. Without all of their dedication and hard work, none of this would have occurred. Thank you so much, and we look forward to making you proud in the future! The Star and Crescent shall not be worn by every man, but only by him who is worthy to wear it. He must be a gentleman...a man of honor and courage...a man of zeal, yet humble... an intelligent man...a man of truth... one who tempers action with wisdom and, above all else, one who walks in the light of God.
Not for an hour... a day... or college term only... but for life. Gamma-Rho Chapter Kappa Sigma Fraternity The University of Arizona Spring 2013
