Instructor Insight Summer Citizens who are returning from past years, don t forget to pull out your ID card from 2015 to bring with you! You may not know much about Utah State University s True Aggie tradition! We d like you to know about one of the university s most popular traditions. If you have been on the USU campus before, you may have noticed the Block A (pictured below) near the Old Main building in the center of campus. The Block A has stood as a traditional monument to aggie spirit since 1916. Campus tradition dictates that only those who kiss while sitting on the Block A, under a full moon become "true aggies." Last month, the Student Association of Traditions, put together a special True Aggie Night to celebrate 100 years of True Aggies. At midnight around the Block A, lights were strung in nearby trees and hundreds of students lined up to wait their turn. Today one can become a "True Aggie" by receiving a kiss on the "A" under a full moon at midnight by somebody who already is a "True Aggie," or on Homecoming or A-Day by somebody who is not. As we celebrate the Summer Citizens 40th Anniversary, you might want to take. a special trip to the Block A one of these summer nights where the full moon shines bright. Learn more about our instructors and sign up for their classes! Michael Logan Mike is teaching The Evolution of U.S. Air Power. His interest in Aerospace came at a young age. He has been studying Aerospace both academically and as a hobby, for well over 35 years. He gained a bulk of his knowledge through his 25+ years with the Civil Air Patrol (U.S. Air Force Auxiliary). Mike has worked with Linda D Addabbo at the University Inn and Conference Center for eight years as the Department s Technical Coordinator. Among many interests, Mike enjoys spending time with family, camping and enjoying the outdoors, SCUBA Diving, Theatre, film and film history, and producing videos. He is a Logan Native and a graduate of Utah State University where he studied both Video Production and Theatre Arts. Michael Logan Richard Smart Richard Smart Richard s class this summer is The Power of Positive Thinking. He was born in Salt Lake City. While working on a degree in Business Administration, discovered the power of the mind. He tells his story in his own words. Because I had been involved in Direct-Selling, and had seen so many sales people come and go, I decided to do research on Why Direct Salespeople Quit Their Jobs. I began an in-depth research of Motivation and why we do what we do. In this course of research, I discovered concepts and techniques that I began to use to empower my mind. I found myself having great success in selling and became the #1 salesperson in the company. I introduced similar materials and techniques to other people, and they, too, began to have success. He and his wife of 32 years, Mary Lue, have four children and two grandchildren. They enjoy doing things together as a family.

Road Trip Tips & Trivia! Those of you who are driving to Logan for the summer will be embarking on a road trip soon! Here are some tips of what others have done during their road trips, and some trivia questions to keep you entertained on the drive.
