The National Bar Association s Annual Mid-Winter Meeting will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013 through Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort & Casino in Nassau, Bahamas. The room rate for the meeting is $129.00 per room, single or double occupancy, plus 18% tax and a daily $20 resort fee. The hotel reservation deadline is January 18, 2013. The panel will start with a discussion about Fisher and the attack on affirmative action. It will focus on the kind of effect that will have on the number of African-Americans going to law school. The panel discussion will then move to the pipeline to the judiciary and focus on the kind of training young attorneys need to become successful candidates for the bench.
