Chicago Thanksgiving Dates of Program: Nov 26-29, 2015 Application Deadline: Oct 16 th, 2015 Program Leader: Mr. Jeremiah Lee To be eligible for this program, you must: Be enrolled as a fulltime student at Northwood University Not be on academic or disciplinary probation Program Overview Travel to the great city of Chicago and experience all the history and culture it has to offer. Navigate the city on the famous hop-on-hop-off trolleys and visit the Sky deck, Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, and enjoy the architecture of the city on a river cruise. There will also be an opportunity to see the Thanksgiving Parade, and, of course, shop shop shop till you drop, in Chicago, on Black Friday. The tentative travel schedule is as follows: NOTE: When traveling, flexibility is important. Sometimes plans need to be adjusted, so the schedule is subject to change. Students who are accepted into the program will receive a number of updates with more specific details regarding travel and the program. There will be some free time built into
the schedule so that students may explore on their own Nov 26 Nov 29 Depart Midland for Chicago Return From Chicago Travel, Passports, and Visas All students participating in this program will depart together from Northwood University s Midland Campus, and return to Midland at the end of the program. Roundtrip fare from Midland is part of the program fee. Costs The basic cost for the program is $800 per person The fee includes: Roundtrip fare from Midland Hotel lodging in a central location (2-3 people per room with individual beds same sex) Ticket for the all activities, including : o Sky-Deck o Navy Pier o Shedd Aquarium o Architecture River Cruise o Hop-on-hop-off Trolley o Lego Land All meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) The fee does not include: Any meals not included in the program Personal expenses such as souvenirs, clothing, etc. Personal travel and activities Applications and Deadlines Enrollment is limited to 15 students. Your application will consist of: the application form A copy of the photo page of your passport $800 program is due at the time of application.
You will be notified within four days of this deadline whether or not you have been accepted to the program. If the number of applications exceeds spaces, a waiting list will be maintained. Upon notification of your acceptance to the program, you must return an acceptance form.
